National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association Competitions

The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association exists to promote, support, nurture, and preserve our nation’s rich historical heritage in the sport of muzzleloading through recreational, educational, historical, and cultural venues such as match competition, hunting, gun making and safety, historical re-enactments, exhibits, museums, libraries, and other related programs.

  • Saturday October 25
    Centerfire Silhouette Match

    This event is typically held once each month on a Saturday morning. See NMLRA Calendar for details.
    Match starts at 10:00 am and runs until the match is complete. (typically, 1:00 pm or 1:30 pm)
    The cost is $30 for each participant. (10/6/23)
    Targets and a range officer are provided.
    Participants shoot silhouettes at distances of 500 yards, 400 meters, 300 meters, and 200 meters. The objective is to knock over all 5 silhouettes in the allotted time. Time limit is 3 minutes 15 seconds at ready, 3 minutes of firing.
    Targets must fall over to be counted.
    This event is open to calibers .243 and up. No Belted or Magnums.
    Open to all scopes and optics.
    Spotters are permitted but not provided.
    Practice can start at 8 am, if the range officer is present.

    10 PRS stages ranging from 50-350 yards
    This match is sanctioned with PRS, so shooter will receive points toward their regional standing
    Bonus stage will be the B&T One Shot Challenge
    Cost of the match is $40
    Lunch will be provided and prize table walk until the items run out
    Sight in range will be open at 7:30 am
    Range safety brief will begin at 9:00 and the range will go hot immediately following.
